Social sustainability

On equal terms

A space that integrates, helps and facilitates mobility and promotes the autonomy of all people

We believe in equity, in which we all have the same rights and do not want any condition to be an impediment. For this reason, we work to make Casa Santa Elena as accessible as possible, promoting the well-being of all people, without leaving anyone behind.

We have:

  • Plans of situation in braille, at the reception.
  • Situation plans in braille, on each floor.
  • Rooms signposted in braille.
  • Flagged braille flavors.
  • Signposted steps with rough tactile podo bands and different color.
  • Staff who inform about the restaurant options and who answer all the doubts you may have to get to the house quickly.

We have:

  • Video of presentation subtitled and translated into sign language.
  • Magnetic loop, at the reception.
  • Portable magnetic loop for the meeting room.
  • Staff who report on services and spaces, and who answer all the doubts you may have to be located quickly in the House.

Throughout the process to make the House more accessible, the staff have been informed of all the actions carried out and why. With the help of Multisignes professionals and following the guide of the Regional Council, an accessibility process has been created in which:

  • The characteristics of each type of disability and the adaptations to be made so that everyone feels comfortable are explained.
  • There are indications of how to treat people from different groups, helping to lose fear and breaking taboos and stereotypes.
  • The departmental bases on how to correctly attend each person are stipulated, as they are installed in the House and consume services.

We have different measures to ensure the well-being of the people of our team:

  • Protocol for the prevention of sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Controls to avoid the wage gap.
  • Family and work reconciliation.
  • Development of training plans for each one according to their interests and needs.
  • Collaboration with job placement programs to meet staff needs.
  • Contract with the Special Work Centre (CET) Tramuntana for garden maintenance.
  • Free, constant and unlimited support of psycho-emotional, social and nutritional care for the workers of the House and its environment, guaranteeing their confidentiality.
