Sustainable Development Goals

We contribute to achieving the SDGs

Our roadmap and the Sustainable Development Goals

In order to start, orient and give continuity to the integral ecology project, we have defined a sustainability and circular economy roadmap that is based on six strategic lines. These are aligned with the following SDGs:

  • SDG 6. Water and sanitation
    • 6.3 By 2030, improve water quality, wastewater treatment and safe reuse.
    • 6.4 By 2030, significantly increase the efficient use of water resources in all sectors and ensure the sustainability of freshwater extraction and supply to cope with water scarcity and significantly reduce the number of people suffering from water shortages.
    • 6.6 By 2020, protect and restore water-related ecosystems, including forests, mountains, wetlands, rivers, aquifers and lakes.
  • SDG 7. Affordable and non-polluting energy
    • 7.2 By 2030, significantly increase the proportion of renewable energy in all energy sources.
    • 7.3 By 2030, double the global rate of energy efficiency improvement.
  • SDG 12. Responsible production and consumption
    • 12.2 By 2030, achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources.

  • SDG 3. Health and well-being
    • 3.9 By 2030, substantially reduce the number of deaths and diseases caused by dangerous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution.
  • SDG 11. Sustainable cities and communities
    • 11.6 By 2030, reduce the negative environmental impact per capita of cities, even paying special attention to air quality and the management of municipal and other waste.

  • SDG 8. Decent work and economic growth
    • 8.4 To progressively improve, by 2030, the efficient production and consumption of global resources and try to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation.
    • 8.9 By 2030, develop and implement policies to promote sustainable tourism that creates employment and promotes local culture and products.
  • SDG 12. Responsible consumption and production
    • 12.3 By 2030, halve global per capita food waste in retail and consumption, as well as food losses in production and distribution chains, including postharvest losses.
    • 12.4 By 2020, achieve the ecologically rational management of chemicals and all waste throughout their life cycle, in accordance with the agreed international frameworks, and significantly reduce their release into the atmosphere, water and soil in order to minimize their adverse effects on human health and the environment.
    • 12.5 By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse policies.

Through the dissemination of the House’s comprehensive ecology project, we contribute to the expansion of knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals in general.

  • SDG 13. Climate Action
    • 13.3 Improve education, awareness and human and institutional capacity in relation to climate change mitigation, adaptation to climate change, reducing effects and early warning.

Through this transversal LE we contribute to the settlement and awareness of the SDGs, internally, in the House.
